The construction of buildings typically consumes huge amounts of energy. In order to reduce this, in the city of Kassel, Germany, an architect has started an exchange enterprise with a big storage building to reuse and recycle as many building components such as doors, windows, or metal parts as possible. The project has a huge potential since the rubbish stemming from the building sector is, e.g., in Germany in 2023, more than half of all the rubbish produced.
