Interval running, where you repeat running for 30 seconds at full effort and then resting for 30 seconds, can achieve the same health and fitness benefits as traditional running in much less time. Alternatively you may use the 10-20-30 method of 30 seconds of walking followed by 20 seconds of running at a moderate pace and 10 seconds of all-out sprinting.
