Duration of sleep in different cultures

A new study found that people who sleep close to their culture's idea of optimal amount of sleep, tend to have an overall better health. However, the culturally dependent average time of sleep varies considerably between countries. For instance, in Japan people sleep on average 6 hours 18 minutes and in France 7 hours 52 minutes.
