The Right Livelihood Awards 2022 were awarded. The prizes go to Oleksandra Matviichuk and the Center for Civil Liberties ("for building sustainable democratic institutions in Ukraine"), Fartuun Adan and Ilwad Elman ("for promoting peace, demilitarisation and human rights in Somalia"), the Africa Institute for Energy Governance in Uganda (for their fight for climate justice and community rights in Uganda), and the Cecosesola organization ("for establishing an equitable economic model as an alternative to profit-driven economies" in Venezuela).
