Waves against Alzheimer's

alzheimer.jpg

In experiments with mice, scientists have found that exposing the brains of animals with Alzheimer's disease to a repetitive stimulus in form of 40 Hz ultrasound pulses for two hours daily over a period of two weeks, reduces plaque concentration and tau protein levels in their brains without doing any measurable harm to the brains. This may result in a non-invasive treatment for Alzheimer patients.
