New spectral precision in search for exoplanets
Using a new spectral shaping method, researchers managed to control 10,000 individual lines of light in high-precision spectroscopy to detect tiny shifts in the light coming from stars. This is about a ten-fold improvement in precision and may be used in the search for exoplanets.
