In Gloucestershire, England, a restaurant, called The Long Table, operates on the model of "pay-as-you-can", that is, customers pay as much as they think they want and can and not on fixed prices. Also people who cannot pay at all are welcome. They employ 22 part-time and full-time people and reuse some of the food that otherwise would be thrown away. Last year they had about 20000 customers.
