Cause for reduced immune response in older people

Lymph nodes play an important role in the human immune system. However, they lose their effectiveness with increasing age. A new study finds a reason, namely normal tissue in the lymph nodes is replaced by fat. The insight may be a first step in preventing the progression of this effect.
