| 7 exoplanets have been found that orbit Trappist-1, a star 40 light-years away from Earth. This is close on an astronomical scale (with the universe estimated to have a diameter of at least 91 billion light-years). Some or all of the planets may have Earth-like conditions and be able to support life. |
