Did start life on earth 4.2 billion years ago?

Studying the genome of living beings, scientists estimate that the "Last Universal Common Ancestor" (LUCA) lived some 4.2 billion years ago. That is, surprisingly life would have started only a few hundred million years after Earth itself formed some 4.5 billion years ago.
