For outstanding efforts to document war crimes, human right abuses, and the abuse of power, Ales Bialiatsky from Belarus, and two non-government organizations from Russia (Memorial) and Ukraine (Centre for Civil Liberties), have been awarded the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize.
