Arctic warming slower because ozone hole closing

The 1987 Montreal protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer was a mile stone in international cooperation to save the ozone layer. It is not only exemplary for how to combat climate change, but also made a significant contribution in slowing arctic warming, since the chemical that damages the ozone layer is also a potent greenhouse gase.
