Social Spiders Benefit from Diversity of Bold and Shy Members

In experiments with social spider colonies which consist of bold and shy members, scientists have found that these colonies benefit in their resilience against ants if they have a mixture of types of spiders as compared to consisting of just bold or just shy spiders.
