Teleportation through fibre optic cable

For the first time the teleportation of a quantum state of light through more than 30 kilometres of an existing fibre optic cable has been achieved. This also shows the possibility of using the same infrastructure for classical and quantum communication, so that no specialized infrastructure for quantum communication is necessary. related: #teleportation
