Moon is shrinking

Since the Moon is still cooling down, it shrinks very slowly as a consequence (just some 50 metres in hundreds of millions of years). This may be the reason for some quakes and landslides, in particular near the South Pole of the Moon, something to consider when a permanent lunar station is planned. related: #Moon #quake
