Biodegradable plastic

Pollution by plastic is a major environmental issue. Now a new form of biodegradable plastic has been developed that degrades on a similar timescale as banana skins. The plastic is made of pressed spirulina powder (from blue-green algae). related: #biodegradable #plastic
