New vaccine against polio

Thanks to vaccinations, cases of polio were reduced by some 99 percent, with the illness now mainly occurring only in Afghanistan and Pakistan. More cases are now vaccine-derived than wild cases. A new safer form of the vaccine has now been produced and in first tests looks very promising. related: #polio #vaccination
